Change in Leadership at MINI Brand
The BMW Group has announced a leadership change at MINI. Effective August 1, 2024, Stefan Richmann will take over the management of MINI from Stefanie Wurst, who has successfully led the brand since February 2022. Wurst has been instrumental in focusing the brand on new markets and target groups, especially in electric mobility and digitalization.
Under her leadership, the MINI sales organization transformed into a sustainable and customer-focused model, facilitating the introduction of MINI direct sales in China and Europe. Wurst's tenure saw the successful rollout of the New MINI Family, marking a high point in MINI's 65-year history.
Richmann, a seasoned BMW Group executive, began his career in 1997 and has held various managerial roles, including CFO positions in Spain and the US. His extensive experience in strategic planning, finance, and sales controlling positions him well to steer MINI's future direction.
Jochen Goller, a member of the BMW AG Board of Management, expressed gratitude to Wurst for her contributions and welcomed Richmann as a capable successor to continue driving MINI's growth and innovation.
