Kverneland Group has taken a significant step towards enhancing safety and efficiency by investing in a fleet of AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) robots at their Klepp factory in Norway. These advanced robots, produced by Omron, navigate autonomously using sensors and sophisticated software, ensuring a safer and more productive working environment.
The AGV robots have been successfully installed and tested, according to warehouse manager Heine Vigre. These robots can transport up to 1000kg of materials from inbound to outbound areas, significantly improving workflow efficiency. "Safety First is our most important value," said Vigre. The robots, equipped with advanced safety features, automatically stop if an obstacle is detected, reducing the risk of accidents and injuries in the workplace.
This investment aligns with Kverneland Group's commitment to technology, innovation, and digitalization. By optimizing tasks and increasing accuracy, the AGV robots have also freed up resources for other essential activities within the warehouse, ultimately boosting productivity.
