Arval has released its 2023 full-year results, showcasing a robust performance and continued growth. The company’s leased fleet reached 1.7 million vehicles, marking a 6.9% increase from the previous year. Arval's gross operating income saw a significant rise of 16.7%, amounting to €2,906 million, while net income increased by 11.6% to €1,398 million.
Arval made notable strides in fleet electrification, with an 85% increase in battery electric vehicles (BEVs) compared to 2022. The company launched Arval Charging Services and partnered with ChargePoint to expand its electric vehicle (EV) charging network, providing access to over 500,000 charging points across Europe.
The Arval Beyond plan remains on track, with a milestone of 633,000 connected vehicles achieved, a 39% increase from the previous year. This progress supports Arval's goal of connecting 80% of its fleet by 2025.
Additionally, Arval expanded its international reach through strategic agreements with partners like Element and Sumitomo Mitsui Auto Service, enhancing its global service capabilities. The Arval Re-lease program, offering used-car leasing, grew by 139%, reflecting strong customer interest.
Chairman and CEO Alain van Groenendael credited the company’s success to its dedicated employees and strategic initiatives, emphasizing the importance of sustainable and smart mobility solutions in achieving these results.
